Our next Tongham Village Hall Wine Tasting Dinner will be on
Saturday 13th October 2012, 7pm for a 7.30pm start. The theme will be an Andean Adventure and we will be featuring wines and food from Chile
and Argentina. Seven wines and eight
courses will cost you a suggested £22.50 donation to Tongham Village Hall. All profits will go towards maintenance of
the hall. Ring Jane on 07983 154295 to
book your tickets. We are strictly
limited to just 60 persons and we expect to sell out as usual.
Chilean and Argentinian wines have been with us for quite a
while now and we will be presenting a mixture of quality wines, such as Michel
Rolland’s Clos de los Siete, from supermarkets and specialist wine shops. The selection will include both local and
international wine varieties with a number of them coming from the Andean foothills
of Chile and Argentina.
South American food is becoming quite fashionable at the
moment with the opening of restaurants such as Lima in London. We will be bringing the South American theme
to you in Tongham including beef, ceviche, tostada, salsa and other South
American specialities.
The evening could also be a good introduction to Tongham
Tasters if you haven’t been to one of monthly tastings.
